FAQ
Here you can find frequently asked questions regarding the selection process.
-
What is the difference between an inter-faculty and inter-university selection process?
The main difference between the two types of agreements is that the inter-faculty selection process takes place in a single round, while the inter-university process consists of two rounds: one at the faculty level and one at the university level. However, there is no reason to be intimidated by the university-wide evaluation; FSV students regularly participate in both types of programs. At the same time, you can submit 2 inter-faculty and 2 inter-university applications, so there is no risk that your application for an inter-university agreement will affect your selection for an inter-faculty one.
-
Can I apply for Erasmus+, inter-univeristy and inter-faculty agreements at the same time??
Yes, you can. The Erasmus+ application process is separate from the application process for inter-faculty and inter-university agreements, so they do not affect each other. If you are applying for the same semester in both application processes, it is essential that you communicate your final choice to the coordinators.
Questions regarding the Erasmus+ program will be answered by Petr Klimša (outgoing@fsv.cuni.cz).
-
What kind of scholarship can I receive?
Scholarships under inter-faculty and inter-university agreements are not guaranteed. You can apply through the Mobility Fund, but only for future stays. Therefore, if you plan to study abroad during the winter semester, you will apply for the grant during the Mobility Fund’s spring round; if you plan to study abroad during the summer semester, you will apply during the Mobility Fund’s fall round.
Please keep in mind that this is only a grant; it does not fully cover all your expenses related to the trip.
Questions regarding the Mobility Fund will be answered by PhDr. Mgr. Veronika Šilhová (exchange@fsv.cuni.cz).
-
Do I really need a language certificate?
For the purposes of the selection process, a certificate or a confirmation from the Language Training Center is sufficient; alternatively, you may submit a statement promising to provide the certificate later if you are successful in the selection process. However, if you are accepted, the foreign university may not accept this confirmation or, for example, a certificate issued some time ago.
For specific language requirements, it is always necessary to check the website of the university you plan to attend. If your language proficiency is not sufficiently documented, your application may not be accepted by the foreign university.
-
How do I create a study plan? Who confirms it?
Your study plan must correspond to your field of study. Your final study plan will then be approved by the program guarantor for your field or specialization.
